About midnight on the 26th, we headed off on a very eventful trip to visit Heath's family in Wyoming. About three hours into the drive and about 20 minutes south of Page, AZ we hit icy roads and after fishtailing for a few seconds in my parent's huge 9 passenger van (I DON'T recommend it!) we slid off the road into a ditch. Luckily, although it was 3:30 am there was an SUV that stopped and helped pull us out. After chaining up as we were about to get on our way, a guy ran off the road right behind us and wrecked his car and got really stuck so we gave him a ride to Page, AZ (yes it DOES snow in Arizona!). So much for a head start... next time we're NOT driving at NIGHT!
After eighteen hours, we finally arrived at Heath's folks house... HALLELUJAH!
The drive aside, we had a wonderful time playing in the snow and even braved a blizzard... which IS a good thing because it meant some of Heath's relatives were snowed in with us and so we just HAD to play lots of
Ticket to Ride,
Settlers of Catan and
Zooleretto.
One of the highlights of the trip was when Attalie got to try out ice skating for the first time. Here are all the pics:
Right before heading home we went with Heath's family to the Rexburg, Idaho Temple open house:

The temple is beautiful. It was also fun to see where you lived, looks like you had a fun trip.
